New Year Gala Time in the Campus
Nalandian’s joy knew no boundaries! They rejoiced at a get together for New Year Celebrations. A fun filled atmosphere prevailed in the campus. Songs, music, dance, jokes and fun games rocked the floor.
Janamashtami Celebrations
Janamastami is the joyful celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth. Sri Krishna is considered to be one of the most endeared human incarnations of Lord Vishnu. On this occasion children from Jr. Wing came in Lord Krishna’s attire. Their Bal Leela – mischievous deeds, pranks on Gopi's was an episode of fun and frolic in the campus. Jubliant Krishna Kanayas attempted their level best to break the earthren pot which was hung teasing them to break. Children motivated them with cheers. Principal Mrs. P. Pallavi on this occasion highlighted the endeared personality Lord Krishna’s dynamism and its relevance in our present society.
Christmas Celebrations
An overwhelming environment was seen on Christmas Eve in Seethammadhara Campus. An array of speeches and carols marked a fitting arena to end the festive atmosphere for the year 2010. The heightened excitement was evident when Santa Clause appeared. This stupendous gala time was all set to get ready for New Year Eve ahead.
Diwali Celebrations:
Diwali, one of the most awaited festivals of India was celebrated
with full pomp and glory at NTS . The day began
with a special assembly by the students of both junior and senior
wings. The true essence behind the celebration of Diwali is the
importance of victory of good over evil. Diwali brings joy and
celebrations every year. The much needed safety measures to be
taken while lighting fireworks were explained by the Principal and
Headmistress. Then began a carnival of delightful performances by
the talented students of NTS - Melodious songs, and dances with
catchy tunes and colourful dresses were really the most remarkable
events to be mentioned. Every one in the campus sat mesmerized and
enchanted with such gaiety. A perfect ending of the programme was
done with the lovely fireworks which thrilled the students and the
teachers alike..
Children’s Day:
NTS celebrated Children’s Day at its Seethammadhara, Vizag campus on 13th November. Fantabulous performances by the Young Nalandians once again revealed that they are masters of all traits. The cultural events featured singing, dancing, plays and other talent shows. Many fun filled sports events were also organized on this occasion filling the air with wow and amusement.
Raksha Bandhan:
Every festival has its importance. Every festival has its traditions. We need to initiate children to understand & appreciate traditions & cultural festivities. Raksha Bandhan is a festival which strengthens brother – sister relationship. Girls of the Pre- Primary tied Rakhis around the wrists of the boys & applied tikas.
Dec. 31st Celebration
Ring out the old, Ring in the new let was time to welcome the New Year with new hope & new enthusiasm.
The kids of Nalanda Talent School zoomed through into the New Year in a jubilant fashion. The faculty of NTS presented cultural items to entertain the students. The student council spoke about their resolutions for the forthcoming year.
Addressing the gathering Dy.Director Dr. P. Pulla Rao appealed to all the children that they should believe in themselves and proceed further with self-confidence and that each one of them should make new resolutions for the New Year.
The evening of 31st saw a colourful celebration only for the staff where they let go themselves & enjoyed the day. Speaking on this occasion Dy.Director Dr. P. Pulla Rao addressed the gathering that year 2009 was very fruitful as NTS could fix their mark on the map of India and wished that year 2010 would be more fruitful with team effort.
Sankranti Celebration
Celebrations’ Enchanted Nalandians at the Nalanda talent School once again. It was a day filled with joy and mystic favor of the harvest season. Makara Sankranthi was celebrated in the school assembly prior to the vacation. The students presented a beautiful song and dance sequence to portray the significance of the harvest festival
The entire area around the school and stage where the students performed was enshrined and embellished with mango leaves and Rangoli. The students in true tradition dressed up in half sarees. Their colourful costumes reminded us about our rich heritage, culture and tradition at large.
The Bommalla Kolluvu was enchanting.The performances amalgamated the cosmic relation with our traditions and culture with a reiteration to remember and pursue to imbibe the Indian traditional ethos among the community. Speaking on the occasion Dy Director Dr. P. Pulla Rao said that such celebrations are a must in today’s mechanical life. They sow the seeds of Indianess.
HOLI – Holi was celebrated in a colourful manner and children loved it.
