Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE):
The workshop on June 8th is all about evaluation to ensure effective learning. Mr. D.V.S. Ramakrishna Principal, KV threw light on variety of sources of assessments like- assignments, demonstrations, projects, performances and tests. The tasks to be chosen for Formative assessments and Summative assessments and the strategies to be adopted were elaborated in this session. The correlation to be brought out from both the assessments was the prime objective accomplished in this session.
Workshops - "A journey of self discovery"
Suresh Betha, Chief Trainer, Drona Consultancy has facilitated an in house training session on Leadership Master, Building effective relationship, Break through attitudes, Journey of self discovery on June 9th, 2011 and 10th, 2011. This motivate sessions were positive curtain raisers for the new academic sessions 2011-12.
Identifying Slow Learners
Dr. G.K. Beaters, psychologist, specialist in conducting workshops for teachers, parents and students in her workshop inspired teachers to identify students with learning disabilities. Various scientifically proven methods were illustrated in identifying a child in need of additional help in a session organized on June 10th 2011 in the school premise for the teachers.

Stress a silent killer of modern era can be handled with ease. A teacher with young minds at her disposal should master to handle stress. The technique and systematic planning are the need of the hour. Sis. Madhuri, Bramha Kumari's in an interesting session on June 10th 2011 dealt on Stress Management. Various approaches and tips to manage stress were topics.
C.C.E. Programme - Descriptive Indicators
The purpose of assessment is to evaluate the performance. As a part of assessment, teachers provide the students with descriptive feedback that guides their efforts towards improvement. The workshop on June 11th by Mr. K. Martin Principal, NTS gave an insight on various descriptive indicators that teachers could adopt.

Art and Craft Workshop
“A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.” Keeping in mind the saying the orientation programme was planned for the 2010-11 session.
The first session on 05-06-2010 might have reminded Principal Ms. Pallavi the saying – All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Sri Ramana from West Wood International School has conducted a workshop on Art and Craft. The session has depicted that Art and Craft is everybody’s cup of tea and it left joyous satisfaction amidst the teachers. |

IDiscovery……. an attempt to discover
An effective corollary would be the teacher’s introspection about his / her own experience as a student. The training session on 07-06-2010 has launched with the same note. IDiscoveri relevant to the time, to blossom into a happy child learning has started a Refresher Training Programme for Primary Teachers. The session is responsive to contemporary concerns – skill in action i.e. experimental learning.
Subject Wise Workshops
The Sr. Wing teachers were previlaged to be guided by Mrs. Madhumathi for Hindi and Mr. Peri Sharmafor Telugu teachers could retrace their life as a student. The Resource Person Sri. A.V.R.J. Satyanarayana for Maths, a person who has left no subject untouched has a map for the creative enfoldment of the students with regard to maths.
Stress Management - Need of the hour
Modern life makes a deceptive promise with cruel results like stress. A session on stress management through meditation was organized on 09-06-2010 by Sister Siva Leela, Brahma Kumaries, who has guided the teachers by strengthening the spirit to forge an individual identity and not in taking on roles that usually end in stress. Stress, lack of confidence, unnecessary aggressiveness or unpleasantness, crisis of values, material leaning, peer pressure to prove oneself at all costs and running after meaningless goals are all part of our daily experience. If we can achieve internal equilibrium, most of these enemies automatically slain – says Sister Sivaleela.
This power of self control became much positive with an afternoon session on positive thinking – Mrs. P. Pallavi has spoken on the relevance of positive thinking in our present day scenario. Unperturbed by irritation, caused by others and rendering a quality work without vanity is the best work with positive thinking. This of course is an inspiring role of her session.
Workshop on Communication Skills
The end of an education, all training, should be man-making. Clearly, education is life building, man-making, character making and assimilation of ideas. A teacher is crowned for skills and knowledge imparting such skill and knowledge. Colonel K.J.S. Sandhu People Combine session on initiatives’ 10-06-2010 spoke about Communication Skills and guidelines for a teacher on how a teacher should read the minds of the pupils to guide them with utmost sensitivity. Col .Sandhu an extra ordinary person with extraordinary credentials in serving the nation has humbly referred his Hindi teacher for his success. This session concluded on 11-06-2010 with Inter Personal Skills. The group activities – all fun filled ended with a spur that teachers should consider teaching job a self-worth. Teachers were spellbond when they heard his commitment towards his work.
C.C.E a new scenario for a better tomorrow
The scenario of education is changing for the betterment of overall development of the child C.C.E. programme obviously equips students with a mode to find his own self, empowering young minds, with discipline, courage and conviction to tread over the trials and turbulences of life. An integrated and balanced personality with enshrined ethical and traditional values reflecting our rich culture C.C.E. helps a child in discovering the talent and abilities besides academic excellence lalent in him / her Mr. G. Narasimham, Principal, K.V. a unique personality has given ample information about C.C.E. This Orientation Programme has guided the teacher about C.C.E. programme. This programme has given a clear understanding learning a faith that the budding citizens will depicts their talent in every aspect.

Mr. Ravi Chandran, West Wood International School has emphasized on technology to smart work. The overzealous adolescent’s fears should be diverted to curiosity with industry and endurance. It is here unique techniques of smart work come to a teachers rescue says Mr. Ravi Chandran.
The last but not the least the Orientation Programme by Mr. Marthandan academic adviser People Combine, is about the teacher’s role. The Organization looks forward to the teachers to discharge their duties as per the role given. He explored into the role of the teachers in NTS. This session guided the new members of the NTS in being one amidst the other acquainted members. Once thoughts change, there is a visible change in the quality of actions. There are numerous ways in which these teaching can be applied in the context of young children. It has enough insight to help children to develop into a wise and responsible personality. All sessions ended charging the teachers with positive energy to start their journey.
